Sport

I love my sport, when I was younger I enjoyed the competition, these days I play to keep fit and to enjoy the comraderie of the team. As with most Kiwi boys I played rugby when I was a lad, I gave it up to focus on basketball during the winter and softball or touch rugby in the summer.

Basketball
I've played basketball since I was 14 years old and still love to have a run with my old team when I can. I played at premier club level for 6-7 years.

Touch Rugby
I play for the Stripes touch team which is made up of Fijian, Niuean, Maori, European, Tongan and Samoan players. We consider our team to be one big happy extended family, we have been playing together since the early 90's and still look forward to each new season.

:About Me

Each year the Stripes Touch team play two very important games at the end of the season. Two cups are up for grabs - the Pacific Cup and the Verility Cup.

For the Verility Cup the team splits to play the single men versus the married men. For the Pacific Cup it's the locals or Maori and Pakeha vs the Islanders. These games are fiercely contested and are always great matches and afterwards we have a BBQ and a few beers. It's a big day for all the players and their families.
